DIY Strawberry Yogurt Probiotic Mask

DIY Strawberry Yogurt Probiotic Mask

With the wild fires wreaking havoc on the earth, in the air, in our lungs and our skin we have to be proactive so our bodies don’t suffer. Drinking nettle tea to help reduce imflamation in our nasal passages, and simple skincare hacks to combate airborne toxins. This skin-brightnening yogurt facial mask contains two simple kitchen ingredients: yogurt  and delicious strawberries! Strawberries are rich in vitamin C and salicylic acid. Yogurt has lactic acid to sooth skin and softens and tightens pores. Its high nutrient content and natural antibacterial and antifungal properites also get rid of germs and other bacteria.

Here are just some of the skin benefits of the ingredients used in this yogurt face mask:

Tips

1. Test this mask on a portion of your skin to ensure you aren’t allergic to any of the ingredients.

2. Use ripe strawberries, because raw ones will be hard to mash into a pulp. Also use probiotic plain yogurt with live cultures so that you reap the full benefits of this mask and avoid skin irritations.

3. When removing this yogurt face mask, make sure you wash all areas of your face, especially under your chin and the sides of your face, with warm water.

4. If you feel you need more detoxification, brightening or firm skin contact Ashley@nobuintegrativemedicine for a consultation or facial treatment.
